Colleagues are sarcastic, but harmless!

Been a week in SYD already! Work is progressing well, with some flexibility and honeymoon-ing still. :) Yesterday though, my colleague was really funny! She picked up the phone, wanted to make a quick call. The conversation went like this:

Colleague : Hi ABC. How are you doing?
ABC : I am ok!
Colleague : Oh, that didnt sound very good! What's wrong?
ABC : Yeah, I fell last week, went for a check up and found a deep cut, doctor said needed to stitch...and ....so....I waited..I took leave...and...I have no time.....
Colleague : So, have you done the report?
ABC : No. Was on leave last Friday.
Colleague : Ok. But let me know when you are done. thanks
ABC : Sure. Cheers
Colleague : Bye bye

My colleague hung up, stood up and mutterred, "Man, so that's what you get when you say HOW ARE YOU" HAHA..yeah, agreed darn long call but she is just plain funny when she doesnt need to be one. I love Aussie sarcasm - they are funny, yet not quite offensive! But there are times, I seriously dont get the joke at all! But that's my mission! I want to get into their cultures!
